I want to call (insert bank name here). What is their phone number?
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a database of bank and credit card phone numbers. If you can't find the information on this site, we probably won't be able to help you.

I am not a US citizen, but would like to set up an online account with a bank located in the United States. How can I do this?
Most online banks in the United States will require a US mailing address and Social Security Number. Additionally, in some cases, you will be required to have a credit history and some other form of identification (such as a driver's license).

Everytime I apply for a credit card, I get rejected. How can I get a credit card?
A lot of people get rejected for credit cards because they are applying for cards that are beyond the reach of what their credit level offers. If you know you have a low or marginal credit rating, your best bet is to apply for credit cards that target people in your credit category. A list of these cards may be found by clicking here. Some of these cards will carry fees, but they will help you get your credit rating back on track.

If you don't have a low or marginal credit rating and still are getting rejected for credit cards, here are a few important things to consider:

  • How many credit cards do you have already? Some credit card companies won't give more credit cards to people who already have a lot of credit cards.
  • Don't apply for several credit cards at once. Space your credit card applications out over a longer period of time.
  • Have you made any late payments recently? Even one late payment can hurt you more than you think.

I am a student. What is the best way for me to get a credit card?
A lot of students don't realize it, but credit card companies want your business and will often make nice offers to students even if they have not proven their ability to handle credit yet. The best thing you can do is apply for cards specifically targeting students. These cards may be found by clicking here. Since you will often be proving your ability to handle credit with these cards, it is important to use them wisely. This will allow you to establish a solid credit rating.
